High Flyers

At Lockleys North Primary school we believe that all learners can and will be successful. Our vision is to develop a community of empowered learners who strive for success. Our values shape our vision, beliefs and way of being. Respect, Care and Concern, Honesty and Pursuit of Excellence guide every part of our culture, relationships, and teaching and learning.

The High Flyer program is based on our LNPS Learner Qualities and School Values.

Throughout their final year at Lockleys North Primary School our senior students are expected to demonstrate the LNPS Learner Qualities and School Values. This is a culmination of learning and living the values by providing evidence of the qualities which will enable our students to graduate from Primary School as successful learners.

As our students are in their important last years of primary school, organisational skills and knowing how to be a successful learner are vital. Thus, we focus on developing the skills and confidence necessary in becoming successful learners who know how to set goals and work towards achieving them.

As students are encouraged and supported to take charge of their own learning, the High Flyer achievement award allows our students to demonstrate their understanding and mastery by providing evidence of the skills acquired to be empowered learners.

Organisational skills are vital to be able to be able to manage extracurricular activities as this takes place alongside the busyness of their daily school lives.  Students present examples of how they have met the Learner Quality criteria and demonstrated the school values both successfully and consistently at school, at home and in the wider community.
