Governing Council

At Lockleys North Primary school we believe that all learners can and will be successful. Our vision is to develop a community of empowered learners who strive for success. Our values shape our vision, beliefs and way of being. Respect, Care and Concern, Honesty and Pursuit of Excellence guide every part of our culture, relationships, and teaching and learning.

Governing Council 

The Governing Council is a parent/teacher a representative body, which is responsible for the general governance of the school. Members are nominated and elected from the parent community at the Annual General Meeting. Parents may raise issues, make comments or offer suggestions about school matters by contacting the Governing Council chairperson or other Council members. Parents are welcome to attend the Governing Councils meetings as observers, usually held on Mondays at 7:00pm of weeks 3 & 8*

Governing Council Sub Committees work in collaboration with the Council members to provide direction and recommendations to inform decision-making. Sub Committees include:

  • Out of School Hours Care (OSHC)
  • Grounds and Buildings
  • Sports
  • Finance
  • Education
  • Community Engagement

Sub Committees are chaired by Governing Council Members and meet once or twice a term. Times and dates are arranged at mutually convenient times for members. If you would be interested in joining or would like any further information please contact. tyson.grinham428@schools.sa.edu.au
