English
In year 4 and 6 the study of English supports students to develop knowledge, understanding and skills in listening, reading, viewing, speaking, writing and creating.
Students are exposed to quality literature and explicitly taught the skills associated with reading and writing.
As part of our focus on improving literacy outcomes for all students, LNPS implements reading intervention programs for students in Years 1 – 6. The intervention programs help support students with their reading, spelling and reading comprehension.

Mathematics
Mathematics in Fisher is an active hands on process where students build their mathematical understanding through discussion and interactive lessons.
Students will be encouraged and supported to take risks with their learning. They will learn to persevere with new or different and more efficient ways of thinking and problem solving. They will understand that mistake making is an important part of their learning.
In Fisher students engage in a range of approaches to learning and doing mathematics that develop their understanding of and fluency with concepts, procedures and processes by making connections, reasoning, problem-solving and practice.

Seniors
At LNPS our Senior students are well prepared for the exciting future of High School. Each student is supported by a learning culture that understands the value of real-world skills as well as the importance of developing intellectual, physical, emotional and social strengths.
In their final year of primary school, our Year 6 students are challenged, inspired and empowered to achieve their goals. They have opportunities to strengthen the development of our learner qualities through their own interests, responsibilities within the school and community, preparing them to manage themselves in a highly complex world.
