Aiming High @LNPS
At Lockleys North Primary school we believe that all learners can and will be successful. Our vision is to develop a community of empowered learners who strive for success. Our values shape our vision, beliefs and way of being. Respect, Care and Concern, Honesty and Pursuit of Excellence guide every part of our culture, relationships, and teaching and learning.

Gaining Your Wings (R-2)
Taking Flight (Years 3-5)
High Flyers (Seniors)
Our aspiration is that all students at LNPS develop learner qualities that are underpinned by our values of Respect, Care and Concern, Honesty and
Pursuit of Excellence. The ultimate goal is for LNPS students to exhibit characteristics of successful learners. Students who are continually aiming high, knowing what they are learning, what success looks like, and acting upon feedback.
Aiming High at LNPS enables our students to demonstrate the learner qualities, which our school community acknowledges as essential skills that all students should have on completion of their time at LNPS. As students are encouraged and supported to take charge of their own learning, the Aiming High at LNPS initiative is implemented R-6.
Aiming High at LNPS comprises of three LNPS programs where students are given the opportunity to demonstrate school values and learner qualities.
The following are designed for our students to develop as powerful learners by taking ownership of their learning and achievements.
- Gaining Your Wings (R-2)*
- Taking Flight (Years 3-5)*
- High Flyers (Year 6)

Aussie of the Month
Aussie of the Month is a free primary school civics recognition program, delivered by the same network that presents the prestigious Australian of the Year Awards.
Aussie of the Month recognises and celebrates personal endeavour, achievement, and contribution to the community and reflects the universal values we share as Australians, such as fair go, mateship, respect and inclusion.
At LNPS Aussie of the Month recipients are students who demonstrate and live the school values daily. They are nominated by teachers and awarded at whole school assemblies.
Student Ambassadors
Student Ambassadors play an integral role in our school governance and leadership. They regularly consult with the wider student body, so that whole school initiatives are reflective of the the needs of the whole school. Student Ambassadors frequently speak at assemblies and are visible in the school community to ensure that student voice is fostered in different aspects of school life.
Our school values of Respect, Honesty, Pursuit of Excellence and Care and Concern are exemplified by our Student Ambassadors at all times. Our values combined with innovative thinking enable our Student Ambassadors to cultivate skills that will support them to be dynamic leaders of the future.
